Mr. Wisdom flew 123 F-4 combat missions over Vietnam, thereafter flying fighters around the world while leading and teaching tip-of-the-spear fighter weapons systems tactics and techniques as an Instructor in F-4s, in F-15s, as a NATO Aggressor Instructor Pilot in F-5Es. Jim eventually was assigned as the squadron commander of the 527th Aggressor Squadron flying F-16s in Europe. Jim topped off his 23-year USAF career as the Deputy Commander for Operations at Red Flag, Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada – the largest, most complex and on-going combined air forces exercise in the world.
After the USAF, Jim served for 21 years with Federal Express operating the Boeing 727, Airbus A-310/300s and as Captain on the McDonnell Douglas MD-10/11. He was instrumental in assisting Mr. Moreau with the design, engineering, testing and certification of HUD/EVS systems for all the FedEx heavy jet fleet.
